here comes the season

here comes the season

where colors fade

and light escapes

and all the dark voices will seem to have won

soon no dawn shall seem to break

but I won’t fall with the leaves,

drifting weightless,

the sun goes down and they wither away

You’ve got me on a Branch that’ll always sustain

and I know I know, You’ve sealed my roots oh deep

You’ll never let go

You’ll never leave me alone

You’re the nourishment to my broken bones

the sun penetrating my darkened mind

I’ll never float away, rooted in You

I’ll grow and grow, lifted by You

I’ll stand firm, though outwardly consumed by winter’s winds

my depths will never be shaken,

for You are my Lord.

the wind and the rain, light and all phenomena,

collapse in Your fame, Your presence, Your thunder, Your nature

Your voice, their Creator, they recognize, revere

in colorful spring, it’s life You bring forth

darkness You make light and perspectives You revive

Beauty You bring forth once more, with the dawn You are revealing restoration

As Your creation follows Your sway, so will I, too, dance along with Espiritu Santo

singing glorious praise, hallelujah!

Victory is Yours, it always has been. You’ve always had it. Owned it. Been it. The very nature of You demands it to be true. And you make it be so.
